6-DOF Defense Simulation Platform (DITS)

Project Overview

ZATNav has developed advanced 6-DOF training simulator software (DITS) for Al Zarar, Al Zarar-1, Al Khalid, and Al-Khalid-1 platforms. Notably, we are the first to design and build simulator software specifically for Al-Khalid-1, setting a new benchmark in indigenous defense simulation.

Technical Architecture

The Tank Training Simulator (TrgSim) software suite comprises of the following:

Vehicle Physics SimulationSimulation of physical phenomena related to vehicle movement including mathematical modeling, vehicle dynamics, and environmental interaction
Unity 3D Virtual EnvironmentGeneration of virtual environment and object simulation including image, sound, and motion feedback related to vehicle movement and surroundings
Instructor/Operator StationCustom dedicated software built using .NET framework for comprehensive training session management
Soft Gauges & SwitchesVehicle gauges and switches developed in soft form using DevExpress for authentic interface replication
6-DOF Motion Platform IntegrationInterfacing with dynamic training simulator using SimTools for realistic motion feedback
Vehicle Driving Simulator HardwareIntegration with physical driving simulator hardware for complete immersive experience

Dedicated Crew Compartments

Each simulator includes dedicated compartments for the Commander, Gunner, and Driver. Designed to replicate real ergonomics and operational workflows:

Commander compartment with full tactical display and controls
Gunner station with sighting systems and fire control interface
Driver compartment with realistic vehicle controls and terrain view
